INTRODUCTION

FOUNDED IN THE LATE 1980’S, ABDEL AZIZ MAHMOUD LHELALY
LED ONE OF THE MAJOR HIGH END HOSPITALITY PROJECTS ON THE RED SEA COAST QUSEIR – MARSA ALAM AREA. IN ORDER TO FACILITATE HIS WORK AND DEVELOPMENT, HE CREATED COMPANIES TO SERVE THE PROJECT. LATER, AS HIS ORKFORCE AND SPECIALIZATION DEVELOPED, ABDEL AZIZ MERGED THE COMPANIES INTO ONE ENTITY, TIBA INTEGRATED FOR CONSTRUCTION (TIC). 

AT THE START OF THE NEW MILLENNIUM,  THE EGYPTIAN MARKET EXPERIENCED A LARGE GROWTH AND DIVERSITY IN THE MARKET, ENCOUNTERING AN EXPONENTIAL DEMAND IN SECTORS RELATED TO HOSPITALITY, REAL ESTATE, RETAIL OUTLETS, CORPORATE FACILITIES, AND BANKING. THE DIVERSIFICATION OF THE EGYPTIAN MARKET CREATED AWARENESS FOR VALUE OF QUALITY SERVICES & PRODUCTS. ON THE OTHER HAND, VERY FEW CONTRACTORS WERE ABLE TO CATER FOR THE INCREASED DEMAND IN MANAGEMENT, QUALITY, AND TIMELY DELIVERY WITHIN AN ALLOCATED BUDGET.

WITH THIS IN MIND TIC FOCUSED ON THE OBJECTIVE OF EXECUTING CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS WHOSE CONTRACTS WERE MAINLY TURN-KEY, AND/OR DESIGN AND BUILD WHICH ARE DELIVERED ON TIME AND IN FULL. TIC’S MANAGEMENT TEAM PURSUED THIS OBJECTIVE WITH A PHASED APPROACHED.

Starting initially with developing internal capabilities in delivering on construction projects, the main focus was on investing in a highly qualified and experienced team of engineers that would become the corner stone of the company and are able to grow with the business as it reaches the main objective set in the company vision.

The start was the creation of TIC’s fundamental departments; Technical Office Department, Construction department and Finance Department.

Even though creating this structure at an early stage meant an increase in overheads for the company, management felt that such investment would set it apart from the competition.

In the early years of operation the company started delivery on small scale construction projects, like CIB & Barclays bank branches, to name a few. In 2009 our breakthrough came with the signing of a complete construction project worth above $20,000,000, building a prestigious resort in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Through experience during the first phase of the company, TIC witnessed that the majority of construction companies are able to deliver on civil works and finishes.

Based on this we saw a significant opportunity in building our capabilities and differentiation, through delivering not only on civil work and finishes but also on specialized electromechanical projects.

With this management felt that a crucial building block was necessary to achieve the company’s vision. A special focus was given to contracting projects that would entail construction and electromechanical work, this specialization has allowed us the opportunity to be able to approach projects with a complete set of resources and focus. Thus, providing the developers with an added service that cannot be delivered by the competition. Examples of projects delivered: Bel Egypt factory in 10th of Ramadan, SAS staff housing compound, CIB staff housing, Katameya food court, etc.

The third phase of achieving the company vision was through contracting Up-Scale finishing projects. With our cumulative experience this was not hard. Again this has allowed us to demonstrate our capabilities that were achieved in the first two phases in the company setup. Furthermore, TIC continued on building our internal capabilities to have the technical capacity to manage and execute complex projects owned by demanding developers.

The fourth phase of achieving the company’s vision was through the creation of an in-house design team, led by an architect and interior designer with broad multinational experience. Our first Design and Build project was contracted and delivered with high quality on time and in Full. Examples of projects delivered: Qatari Diar for Real Estate development headquarters, Qatari Diar – CityGate sales center, Le Deck lounge Sofitel El Gezira, etc…

After specializing and archiving experience, TIC required a new generation of professionals to lead the way while retaining the exponential growth in the market. Ahmed Tarik & Ossama el-Helaly, managing partners, individualize through a specialized knowledge that allow them to coordinate the organization with excellence. With the above experience the management team believes that the company has achieved the vision that was set during establishment, earning itself a position within a highly competitive and cluttered market. The management team continues to strive on delivering multiple complex projects through the use of the in house capabilities that have been acquired over the years and utilizing a network of specialized subcontractors and suppliers that can deliver projects within a specified budget according to the developer’s brief.
